The Council of Ministers, following a proposal by the Ministry of Defense, has approved a decision to significantly improve the financial compensation for Armed Forces personnel. This move is aimed at strengthening national capabilities and enhancing the quality of Civil Defense services.

Around 6,000 personnel will benefit, with 2,500 of them receiving this salary supplement for the first time.

Key groups such as special forces, pilots, maintenance engineers and technicians, the Cyber Unit, drone operators, civil emergency teams, and more will receive improved financial treatment.

- Flying and support personnel will receive up to an additional 100,000 ALL per month, benefiting around 200 service members.

- Intelligence Agency personnel will see a salary increase of up to 20,000 ALL per month, affecting about 150 personnel.

- For other active military personnel, the salary supplement will increase by up to 70,000 ALL per month, including those who haven't previously received it.

This decision follows a recent salary increase, just four months ago, for certain Armed Forces categories. Since 2022, Armed Forces salaries have seen their largest increase in history, nearly 40%.

The Ministry of Defense and the government remain committed to increasing military pay annually, aiming to bring them in line with NATO average levels, viewing this as a vital investment in national security.
