Consumer News from Q2 2024

During the second quarter of 2024 (April to June), ComReg had a range of news for consumers that included some of the following topics:

We informed consumers about

• Service Provider Code of Practice and complaints procedures;
• the options available with electronic and paper bills;
• how to switch mobile service provider;
• Vodafone's 3G switch-off in Cork, Galway and Dublin from June;
• how to get the most out of your mobile service.

We advised consumers to

• visit our stand at The 50 Plus Show in the Galway;
• visit our new Broadband Checker tool to see what broadband is available to you.

In terms of research and reports we

• published Q1 Consumer Care Statistics with details of issues raised by consumers who contacted ComReg's Consumer Care team from January to March 2024;
• published the Irish Text Relay Service usage report.
