SBA Veterans Small Business Advisory Committees Set to Host Quarterly Public Meetings on Sept. 10 and 12

WASHINGTON - Today, the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) announced that the upcoming quarterly public meetings for the Interagency Task Force (IATF) on Veterans Small Business Development and the Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs (ACVBA) will be held on Sept. 10 and 12, respectively.

"The grit that defines veterans' commitment to our nation makes them ideally suited for entrepreneurship. The Small Business Administration is proud to support veterans seeking to start or grow their businesses," said Dilawar Syed, SBA Deputy Administrator. "These Interagency Task Force and Advisory Council meetings are an important forum to discuss the unique challenges and opportunities facing veteran-owned small businesses, and they directly shape our policies, ensuring veteran entrepreneurs have the resources and support they need to succeed."

The Advisory Committee provides independent advice and policy recommendations to the SBA Administrator, the Assistant Administrator for SBA's Office of Veterans Business Development, Congress, the President, and other U.S. policymakers on matters concerning veteran-owned small businesses.
