Press briefing on next week’s plenary session

Spokespersons for Parliament and for the political groups will hold a briefing on the 16 - 19 September plenary session on Friday at 11.00, in Parliament's Anna Politkovskaya press room.

When: Friday 13 September at 11.00

Key topics next week include:

  • Debate with Prime Minister Viktor Orbán on the programme for Hungary's six-month Council Presidency;
  • Address by Mario Draghi on his competitiveness report, followed by a debate;
  • War against Ukraine: debate and vote on a resolution;
  • Debate on the war in the Gaza Strip and the situation in the Middle East;
  • Hungarian residence permits: debate with the Commission and Council;
  • Debate on Council's position on next year's EU budget;
  • Situation in Venezuela: debate and vote on a resolution.
