Tegucigalpa, November 20, 2024.- In order to strengthen ethical leadership and decision-making skills in the face of the challenges of the digital era, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration (CABEI) held its annual ethics training sessions on November 7 and 8.
The first day was aimed at members of the Board of Directors, Senior Administration and leaders of the Bank, and included the participation of Dr. Daniel Medina, a recognized expert with more than 15 years of experience in the legal and ethical fields. Medina gave the lecture "Ethical Leadership of the Future". The event, which brought together 69 leaders in person at CABEI headquarters and virtually from the Regional Offices, it was inaugurated by Hostos Rizik, Director for the Dominican Republic and Alternate Chair of the Ethics Committee. During his speech, he highlighted the commitment of CABEI leaders to the highest ethical standards, especially in the responsible use of artificial intelligence and other technologies, with a clear focus on the prevention of ethical risks.
In the second activity, 238 Bank collaborators from all levels participated in the conference "Exploring the Future," where they discussed the ethical challenges and opportunities that emerge with artificial intelligence and new technologies. The Director for Honduras, Belinda Carías, opened this meeting by underscoring the importance of strengthening ethical competencies in order to face the challenges of the future with integrity and transparency.
CABEI reaffirms its commitment to fostering a culture of ethics, integrity and responsibility in the organization, recognizing the power of ethics for the positive transformation of the region.
