2024 White Ribbon Conference to Spotlight Male Allyship in Preventing Domestic Abuse
This year's theme, #ItStartsWithMen, calls on men to lead the way in challenging sexism and preventing domestic abuse.
Hosted virtually from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on MS Teams, the conference will feature keynote speakers, including advocates, researchers, and experts from across the UK.
Gender-based violence is not only a women's issue, it is a societal crisis that affects us all. This conference aims to empower men to take a stand against
everyday misogyny and abuse. Attendees will learn practical skills to safely and effectively intervene, hold themselves accountable, and promote a culture of respect in every space they inhabit.
Director of Public Health for Worcestershire, Lisa McNally, said: "The rise in harm to women and girls due to domestic violence is a heartbreaking reality nationwide, and unfortunately, Worcestershire is no exception.
"Ending this crisis requires all of us to stand up and challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours wherever we see them. I am proud that Worcestershire is leading the way with the White Ribbon Conference, where we'll gather with experts and advocates to empower our community to drive real change and create safer spaces for everyone."
Join us to be part of this important conversation, learn how you can make a difference, and stand with others committed to creating a safer world for everyone.
