State Police seek Public Assistance Regarding an Accident Investi...

On August 30, 2024, at about 7:25 a.m., State Police in Marcy responded to a single-vehicle accident on Trenton Road in the town of Marcy. Oneida County Dispatch advised patrols before arrival that the operator of the vehicle stated he crashed due to someone shooting at him.

A preliminary investigation revealed a 2019 Jeep Cherokee was traveling north on Trenton Road when he lost control and drove off the west shoulder of the roadway. The operator and sole occupant reported that his windshield was struck by gun fire on Trenton Road and refused to provide any further information to Troopers.

The operator, Brandon L. Wilson, 39, from Utica, NY, was subsequently arrested for DWI and multiple other VTL violations. Wilson sustained minor injuries due to the crash.
