The University of Toledo Ritter Planetarium will explore cosmic connections to Halloween in an immersive full-dome program in October.

"Spooky Space," intended for viewers ages 6 and older, presents outer space phenomena through comparisons to Halloween-themed characters. Vampires are likened to black holes, for example, and nebulae to ghosts.

The popular program will screen at 1 p.m. Saturdays through Oct. 26, with young viewers invited to attend in costume on Oct. 26.

Ritter Planetarium also will screen "The Other Side of Infinity: Black Holes" at 7:30 p.m. Fridays through Oct. 25. "The Other Side of Infinity," narrated by actor Liam Neeson, uses high-resolution visualizations to illustrate the current science of black holes.

Admission to planetarium shows is $8 for adults and $6 for children, senior citizens and UToledo community members. Children ages 3 and younger are free. Parking is free in Area 1N within 45 minutes of the beginning of planetarium shows.
