The Colorado Springs Airport (COS) welcomed 234,890 total passengers for the month of June. This represents a 10 percent increase in the total number of passengers from last June. Of this number, the airport saw 116,427 passenger boardings out of COS, showing an 8 percent increase when compared to the same month in 2023.
Seats available in the market were reported at 136,597, marking a 9.5 percent increase from June, 2023. Of those available seats, the majority were filled with an average load factor of 85.2 percent.
"Summer is always a busy travel time for COS, and this summer has not only proven that to be true, but it's happened through a significant period of construction and development in the terminal and around the airport," said Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation for COS. "We will continue to welcome passengers and work towards improving the traveler experience at COS."
Seasonal summer service to Hollywood-Burbank/Los Angeles (BUR) with Avelo Airlines and Minneapolis/St. Paul (MSP) with Sun Country Airlines and Delta Air Lines will be available through early September. Another summer addition includes Southwest Airlines nonstop service to Baltimore/Washington (BWI) which is slated to be a year-round route. Additionally, Delta launched a second daily nonstop service to Atlanta (ATL) this month.
