Homicide – C24-183344

Released: August 9, 2024 at 10:05 a.m.

On August 7, 2024, at approximately 10:30 p.m., the Winnipeg Police Service responded to a report of a shooting in the 400 block of Redwood Avenue.

Attending North District General Patrol officers located an injured male suffering from serious injuries.

Emergency medical care was provided, the injured male was transported to the hospital in critical condition, and later pronounced deceased.

Members of the Homicide Unit were notified and continued with the investigation.

The deceased has been identified as Colin Jessie BERNARDIN HEBERT, a 32-year-old male of Winnipeg.

Pierre FLETT (36) of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Second Degree Murder
  • Possession of a Prohibited or Restricted Firearm with Ammunition
  • Possession of Firearm, Restricted/Prohibited Weapon or Ammunition Contrary to Prohibition Order x 5
  • Possession of Scheduled Substance - Methamphetamine
  • Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm in Motor Vehicle
  • Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 3
  • Warrant - Fail to Comply with Condition of Release Order x 2

Jared Jackson BUSHIE (32) of Winnipeg has been charged with the following:

  • Second Degree Murder

They were both detained in custody.
