LBPD CELEBRATES 53RD ANNUAL POLICE AWARDS CEREMONY
Today, the Long Beach Police Department celebrated its 53rd Annual Police Awards Ceremony.
LBPD personnel and Long Beach community members were honored for their exceptional dedication for going above and beyond in service to our community.
"Each and everyday, LBPD personnel make a positive impact in our community," said Chief of Police Wally Hebeish. "Through small acts of kindness or moments of courage and heroism, our personnel consistently show their dedication to serving others, supporting those in need, standing up for victims, ensuring justice, and keeping our community safe. It's an honor to recognize our personnel and community partners for all they do for our community."

Community Service Award is presented to community members or City employees for courageous actions taken to protect life, prevent crime, or provide other outstanding service to the Long Beach Police Department.
Meritorious Award for Heroism is awarded to an employee for an act of heroism that is performed at great risk to the employee's safety in an effort to preserve human life.
FTO of the Yearis presented to a Field Training Officer who performs their responsibilities and duties in an exemplary manner during an annual period.
