Boston Police Celebrates National Forensic Science Week 2024

To celebrate National Forensic Science Week, we want to shine a spotlight on the unsung heroes of the Boston Police Department-our Forensic Division!

Commissioner Cox and Members of the Command Staff were proud to take part in a special lunch to honor the work of the members of the Division, the Firearms Analysis Unit, Crime Laboratory Unit, Crime Scene Response Unit, and Latent Prints Unit. These dedicated professionals are the backbone of our investigations, they continue to go above and beyond for our City!

To add a little to the occasion, Copper, our beloved comfort dog in training, was there to lend some paws-itive vibes!

From meticulously analyzing crime scenes to uncovering the smallest details that crack the case, their expertise is vital in bringing resolution and peace to countless families.

Their work may be behind the scenes, but the impact is front and center. We are grateful for their precision, dedication, and commitment to our community's safety.
