The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development at Binghamton University recently hosted its eighth annual Career Champions Breakfast. The event recognized more than 150 faculty and staff members for their contributions to the personal and professional growth of their students.
The career champions designation was established by the Fleishman Center in 2015, and honorees are chosen by students who nominate faculty and staff who have made significant contributions to their career development. These champions have helped students clarify their career goals, identify their purpose, solidify academic or professional plans, and find employment. They may have provided guidance in exploring career options, networking with professionals, applying to graduate school, connecting with employers for jobs or internships, developing technical or professional skills, or acquiring industry knowledge.
Career champion honorees are announced at the annual breakfast. This year's event was held in Old Union Hall on Binghamton's Vestal campus.
