In partnership with the United Way, 190 Marquette faculty, staff and students are collecting 345 gifts as part of the annual Holiday Giving Tree. The campus community is joining together to help provide gifts for those who might otherwise not receive anything for the holidays.

Gifts will be collected at drop-off stations through Friday, Dec. 6, at noon. Gifts can be dropped off at one of three locations:

  • Sensenbrenner Hall 002: Shelves and collection boxes are available on the lower level of the Sensenbrenner atriums. This location is coordinated by Maria Cooper.
  • Dental School 192: This location is coordinated by Carol Trecek.
  • University Christmas tree lighting on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 5 p.m. outside St. Joan of Arc Chapel: Carols will be sung and played by the Marquette band and the newly formed All-Campus Choir, which includes members of the Marquette Chorus, Gospel Choir, Liturgical Choir, the Naturals, The Meladies and the Gold n' Blues. A table will be set up to collect gifts.

Please attach, staple or fasten the gift tag (or something similar) to each gift. You must include your name, the agency name and your gift tag number.

This year, the Holiday Giving Tree will benefit:

  • Eras Senior Networks (Harambee location)
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee
  • Rooted & Rising
  • Sixteenth Street Community Health Centers

Marquette volunteers will deliver gifts to the agencies on Monday, Dec. 9. If you're interested in being part of the agency drop-offs or have any quetions, contact [email protected].
