Heavy Rains Forecast: Clear Storm Drains to Reduce Street Flooding

The National US National Weather Service of Chicago is forecasting heavy rains for our area overnight, along with gusty winds, and isolated thunderstorms.

Public Works staff are doing their best to remove leaves that have been placed curbside and to clear drains throughout the Village, but they will not be able to get to all areas prior to the forecasted heavy rain.

Please be a good neighbor and clear leaves away from the storm drains near you, to help reduce the chances of street flooding. Please do not place any additional leaves at the curb until after the rain has passed, and remove any chrysanthemums and pumpkins, as they are not permitted.
