The Office of State Budget and Management (OSBM) is proud to announce the promotion of Mark Bondo to the position of Assistant State Budget Officer (ASBO) for Budget Execution. Mark brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his new role, having dedicated eight years to OSBM, where he most recently served as a Team Lead for the Departments of Transportation and Environmental Quality, capital budget, and statewide budget matters.

"We are thrilled to have Mark step up to lead a great team of dedicated analysts on our Budget Execution team. His extensive experience and deep understanding of state budget policy and administration are invaluable. Mark's leadership will undoubtedly strengthen our agency," said State Budget Director Kristin Walker.

Prior to joining OSBM, Mark was a Fiscal Analyst at the North Carolina General Assembly for nearly eight years. He holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from UNC-Chapel Hill and his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina.

Mark joins fellow Budget Execution ASBO Jennifer Neisner in leading the Budget Execution Team, which executes the state's enacted budget, monitors spending and revises budget as authorized in law, and issues budget policies and procedures. He serves as ASBO over agencies in the Justice and Public Safety and Natural and Economic Resources policy areas as well as statewide issues.
