Alpine County

One-Way Traffic Control

Alpine County- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control next week on State Route-88 (SR-88) for construction and maintenance operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

State Route 88

  • One-way traffic control at Carson River West Fork Bridge for bridge work beginning Monday, November 4, through Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

State Route 89

  • One-way traffic control from the East Carson River to Loope Canyon for drainage work beginning Wednesday, November 6, through Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Markleeville Creek for bridge work beginning Monday, November 4, through Thursday, November 7, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
