Public Notice: 2024 Solid Waste Training and Webinar Series

The Department of Environmental Quality (DEQ) Solid Waste Permitting and Corrective Action Program will be hosting an in-person and virtual webinar review of the new Transfer Station Operation and Management Exam on November 7^th from 10:00am to 11:30am MST. The in-person training will be held at the DEQ Casper Office, and a link will be provided for registered online participants.

We are excited to announce that the City of Casper will be joining us for this webinar to share their transfer station best practices and lessons learned. This webinar will also feature a review of the applicable rules for compliant operation and management of transfer stations. Attendees will have the option of registering for the Department's Transfer Station Operation and Management Exam at the end of the webinar.

This session is FREE and open to solid waste professionals, consultants, and the public. Registration is required to attend and is currently open. To register visit the DEQ website https://deq.wyoming.gov/shwd/solid-waste/ and click on Training. Registration will close November 6 at 4:00pm MST.

We are also asking for your help to identify topics for the 2025 FREE Training Series.
