Greenberg Traurig Advises on Sale of Office Building in Dusseldorf

BERLIN - Sept. 24, 2024 - Global law firm Greenberg Traurig advised on the sale of the office and commercial building at Kasernenstraße 6 in Düsseldorf's city centre. The real estate service provider and manager Midstad has acquired the property and will develop it after completion of the transaction.

The site, which covers an area of approximately 1,650 square meters, is located in the immediate vicinity of the "Carsch-Haus". The existing building, which dates from 1982, has a total floor area of more than 8,000 square meters and was part of the German real estate portfolio of the Signa Group, whose project company filed for insolvency in early 2024. Insolvency administrator Prof. Dr. Torsten Martini of the law firm GÖRG had initiated a structured sales process that Midstad was able to successfully complete.

Midstad is planning to develop an innovative utilization concept for the building in close consultation with the City of Dusseldorf. The aim is to sustainably revitalize the location and establish a modern mix of functions.
