Brandt Truck Operator Chad Francis cautiously drove his work vehicle over three sets of private tracks and then onto a fourth track with an obstructed view. Suddenly, he found himself in the path of a moving train.
"By the time I saw the train, I was already fouling the main line," said Francis, a 19-year railroader. "I knew I was going to get hit."
Thankfully, the Engineering team member survived the collision, and the train crew was unharmed. Francis reminds everyone to be cautious: "A train can come at any time. Things can be taken away from you quick."
