Lady Bird Johnson Campground Rolls Back Rates

Fredericksburg, Texas - The City of Fredericksburg recently lowered the daily rate for RV space rentals at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Campground.

Fees are now $59 for a premium spot and $52 for a Tier 2 space - down from $80 and $60, respectively. The updated rates went into effect after the City Council unanimously approvedOrdinance 2024-24, amending the rate schedule, at its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 20.

The fees were last adjusted in October 2023 and since that time City staff has seen a drop in bookings and received negative feedback from longtime visitors about the daily rate increase. Meanwhile, the weekly ($354/$312) and monthly rates ($710/$646) were not altered.

Reservations for Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Campground can be made by calling Park Headquarters at 830-997-4202 or online at https://www.fbgtx.org/343/Lady-Bird-Johnson-RV-Park. Reservations must be paid in full at the time of reservation and can be made 12 months in advance.

Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Campground is located three miles south of downtown Fredericksburg off Highway 16 South inside Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park. The site features 92 RV Spaces with 30- and 50-amp electrical hook-ups, water sewer and cable TV. Wireless Internet is provided free of charge. Pets are welcome but must always be on a leash and picked up after immediately.
