10/18/2024 Cure in Place Piping Project to Begin October 21st

Cure-in-Place Piping (CIPP) Project Update
Beginning Monday, October 21st, the City's contractor will begin cleaning, reviewing, and lining 3,300 linear feet of stormwater and sewer pipes across the city. This process is called Cure-in-Place Piping or CIPP. This is a cost effective and low impact process that is critical to maintaining the City's storm and sewer networks. The use of CIPP for repairing pipes significantly reduces disruptions to the community. This method allows the contractor to repair pipes without having to dig open trenches.

Streets will remain open during construction. For short periods, one lane may close to complete portions of the work. During these periods, flaggers will direct traffic through the work zone. The work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 am - 6:00 pm from October 21st through November 13th. Night work from 7:00 pm - 6:00 am will be necessary for 3 of the sites.
