Sept. 11 webinar provides tools to help avoid workforce discrimination claims

Idaho employers and human resource staff are invited to attend a free webinar, Wednesday, Sept. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. MT. presented by the Idaho Human Rights Commission (IHRC) and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC).

Attendees will learn about avoiding and preventing workforce discrimination claims, how to respond to a discrimination or retaliation complaint filed by a current or former employee and what to expect during an employment law proceeding.

IHRC Administrator Ben Earwicker, EEOC Seattle Field Office Director Elizabeth Cannon and Seattle Field Office Outreach and Education Coordinator Zachary Florent will discuss what employers can expect throughout an employment law proceeding before the two Commissions, as well as best practices and guidance for responding to an employee complaint of discrimination or retaliation.
