KT&G Welfare Foundation delivers 105 compact cars to social welfare organizations nationwide.

The KT&G Welfare Foundation held the '2024 Social Welfare Organization Vehicle Delivery Ceremony' on the 20th at the Hope Senior Welfare Center in Yangju City, Gyeonggi Province, providing 105 compact cars to social welfare organizations across the country.

The KT&G Welfare Foundation has been providing highly maneuverable compact cars since 2004, taking into account the narrow alleyways characteristic of many welfare beneficiary areas to aid the smooth operations of local social welfare organizations.

To date, the KT&G Welfare Foundation has delivered a total of 2,305 vehicles to social welfare organizations nationwide. This year, as part of a pilot operation, five compact electric vehicles, 'Ray Light,' were additionally provided.

The KT&G Welfare Foundation selects the organizations to receive vehicle donations through an annual public offering. This year, about 1,200 welfare organizations participated in the application, and after evaluation, 105 social welfare organizations were selected to receive compact cars based on their urgent needs.

A representative from the KT&G Welfare Foundation stated, "For over 20 years, we have been providing compact cars to aid social welfare organizations that serve the community," and added, "We will continue to do our best to seek out and provide tangible assistance to those in the community who need support."

Meanwhile, the KT&G Welfare Foundation, a social welfare corporation established by KT&G in 2003 to communicate with the local community and fulfill corporate social responsibility, provides localized welfare services through eight welfare centers, including support for low-income marginalized groups and donations of vehicles to social welfare facilities.

The foundation is also actively involved in improving educational environments worldwide by building schools in areas with insufficient educational facilities, dispatching university student volunteer groups, etc.
