Suffolk County reported the following information related to COVID-19 for October 3, 2024

According to CDC, hospital admission rates and the percentage of COVID-19 deaths among all deaths are now the primary surveillance metrics.

Daily Hospitalization Summary for Suffolk County - From October 3, 2024

  • 66 individuals were hospitalized
  • 53% were hospitalized due to COVID-19 or complications of COVID-19.
  • 7 new admissions since the last report.
  • 20 were discharged since the last report.
  • 7 patients were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

FATALITIES- October 3, 2024

  • 5,340 fatalities since March 2020, an increase of 0since last report.
