Dear Shareholders,
I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone who participated in our Annual Meeting of Shareholders, whether in person or online. I'd like to warmly welcome Gloria Ann Karmun as a newly elected board member. We look forward to the insight and expertise she will bring to the Board.
I would also like to express my deepest gratitude to Steve Ivanoff for his many years of dedicated service as a BSNC Board Director. Steve has been a board member since 1997, and his leadership and commitment over the years has had a profound impact on our Company. We thank him for his tireless service and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Quyaana, Steve.
As you are aware, each year, BSNC takes great pride in recognizing Elders through our Elder of the Year Awards. Honoring our Elders is a cherished tradition for Our People and BSNC, and we deeply value the guidance they provide. We are honored to include their bios in the Agluktuk and hope you will enjoy reading them.
I would also like to take a moment to celebrate Amanda Davison, 2024 Young Provider; Jessie Outwater, 2024 Youth Culture Bearer; and Kylie Evans, 2024 Tim Towarak Memorial Scholarship recipient. These young individuals exemplify the spirit of leadership, cultural preservation, and dedication to education that is crucial to the future of our Company and our communities.
I am pleased to congratulate Lucille Sands and Haven Harris on their recent promotions within the executive team. Lucille was promoted to Senior Vice President of Regional and Shareholder Services and Haven was promoted to Senior Vice President of Growth and Strategy. Congratulations to Roy Craft on being promoted to General Manager. All have made incredible contributions to BSNC, and I am confident they will continue to drive positive growth and success for our Company.
It was a joy to see so many friends and relatives at the Alaska Federation of Natives (AFN) Convention. Board Chair Roy Ashenfelter and I were pleased to present shareholders Marlene Haugen and Barret Eningowuk with AFN President's Awards. A warm congratulations to shareholder Colleen Anagick on receiving the Health Award for her work as a Tribal Doctor. Moments like these remind me of the strength and resilience of Our People when we come together, and I am continually inspired by our collective unity.
Looking ahead, we have several exciting changes that are currently being implemented, including the reorganization and the establishment of BSNC's newly formed Holding Companies. We believe these initiatives will further position us for long-term success, and we are eager to embark on this new chapter.
As always, we deeply appreciate your ongoing involvement and support, and we look forward to another successful year ahead. Quyaana!
Warmly,
Cindy Massie
President
