Central Bank of Barbados Warns Public of Fraudulent Letter

The Central Bank of Barbados (CBB) wishes to inform the public that a fraudulent letter purporting to be from the Bank, requesting payment of fees, has been circulating. This letter is not authorised by the Bank or its Governor, Dr. Kevin Greenidge, and bears a forged signature.

The Bank urges recipients of this letter to disregard it immediately and refrain from making any payments or sharing personal information with unauthorised individuals or entities.

If you or anyone you know has already made payments in response to this fraudulent communication, we strongly advise you to contact the Barbados Police Service and file a report.

The Central Bank of Barbados is actively working with local authorities to investigate this matter, and those responsible for this fraudulent activity will be subject to legal prosecution.
