Washington D.C. - Today, Congresswoman Norma Torres (CA-35) voted for the House passage of H.R. 8753, legislation that would allow the United States Postal Service to give communities a unique ZIP Code. This bill contains language that Rep Torres authored in her bill, HR 696, essentially securing a new Eastvale zip code to ensure that Eastvale's growing population receives the recognition it deserves in federal and postal systems. It now heads to the Senate for consideration.
"For too long, Eastvale has had to navigate the confusion and challenges of being split between two ZIP Codes, 92880 and 91752," said Congresswoman Torres. "This bill brings us one step closer to securing a unique, single ZIP Code for this rapidly growing city in my district. I'm proud to have co-led this effort to help Eastvale, and I will continue working until we achieve the ultimate goal of having a single, distinctive ZIP Code for all of Eastvale."
