Washington, D.C. - U.S. Senators Rand Paul (R-KY) and Edward J. Markey (D-MA) released the following statement Friday after the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the legislation that bans TikTok:
"The Court of Appeals decision to uphold the TikTok ban is disappointing and a serious threat to TikTok and its users' constitutional rights across the country. Congress pushed through this law with limited debate about its impact on TikTok's diverse base of users and creators and their rights. As public support for the ban wanes, we urge Congress to reconsider the law and intend to work with our colleagues to do so."
