USDA Announces Availability of Low-Interest Physical Loss Loans for Producers Affected by Tornadoes in Ohio

Contiguous Indiana Counties Affected are as follows:
Disaster Event #1 - Adams, Jay, Randolph and Wayne
Disaster Event #2 - Adams, Dearborn, Franklin, Jay, Randolph, Union and Wayne

Indianapolis, June 26, 2024 - Physical loss loans through the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) can help producers repair or replace damaged or destroyed physical property essential to the success of the agricultural operation, including livestock losses. Examples of property commonly affected include essential farm buildings, fixtures to real estate, equipment, livestock, perennial crops, fruit and nut bearing trees, and harvested or stored crops and hay.

Impacted Area: Ohio

Triggering Disaster Event #1: Tornado that occurred March 14, 2024.

Application Deadline: February 14, 2025

Primary Counties Eligible: Auglaize, Crawford, Darke, Delaware, Licking, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Seneca and Union Counties in Ohio

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible:

Indiana: Adams, Jay, Randolph and Wayne

Ohio: Allen, Champaign, Clark, Coshocton, Fairfield, Franklin, Hancock, Hardin, Huron, Knox, Madison, Marion, Montgomery, Morrow, Muskingum, Perry, Preble, Richland, Sandusky, Shelby, Van Wert, Wood and Wyandot. Triggering Disaster Event #2: Tornado that occurred May 7, 2024.

Application Deadline: February 14, 2025

Primary Counties Eligible: Auglaize, Butler, Darke, Jefferson and Mercer Counties in Ohio

Contiguous Counties Also Eligible:

Indiana: Adams, Dearborn, Franklin, Jay, Randolph, Union and Wayne

Ohio: Allen, Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Hamilton, Hardin, Harrison, Logan, Miami, Montgomery, Preble, Shelby, Van Wert and Warren.
