On Monday, September 30, county officials celebrated the groundbreaking of Phase II of Canyon District Park in unincorporated Palm Beach County, located west of Boynton Beach. The new phase of this much-anticipated park will offer residents expanded recreational opportunities and state-of-the-art facilities designed to promote community health and wellness.

"This is an exciting milestone for our community," said Jennifer Cirillo, Director of Palm Beach County Parks and Recreation. "Phase II of Canyon District Park will offer residents a destination for recreation, sports, and family activities. We are especially grateful to the Palm Beach County Board of County Commissioners and community park advocates for their continued support in enhancing our county's recreational infrastructure."

Phase II of Canyon District Park will feature four lighted baseball/softball fields, an all-abilities destination playground, two lighted sand volleyball courts, a picnic pavilion, a concession/restroom building, two stand-alone restroom buildings, an 800-square-foot baseball storage building, two batting cages, and 273 parking spaces. Construction is managed by Kaufman-Lynn Construction with a total project cost of $29 million. The park is expected to open to the public by early 2026.
