Spokane City Council Cancels Monday Legislative Session

In light of recent security developments and out of an abundance of caution, the regularly scheduled City Council Legislative Session, initially scheduled for Monday, November 11, 2024, has been canceled. All legislative business will be handled on Thursday, November 14, 2024.

The decision to cancel the City Council Legislative Session was made to ensure the safety and well-being of our lawmakers, staff, and the general public. The council is currently working actively with the Spokane Police Department to monitor the situation and ensure that all necessary precautions are taken moving forward.

Further updates will be communicated as more information becomes available. Council President asks that the public refrain from coming to City Hall.
