Nasty and Negative: Heinrich Launches First False Attack Ad

Desperation sets in for Democrats as U.S. Senate race tightens, and Nella Domenici outraises Martin Heinrich
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, JULY 17-Today, Democrat Martin Heinrich drove the race for U.S. Senate into the gutter when he launched the first negative ad of the campaign season. Not only is he the first candidate to go negative, the ad's false message and desperation shows New Mexico voters and the country that this state is in play.

"With nothing to show for his two decades as a politician, except for higher prices, more crime, and worse education, Martin Heinrich's campaign has entered desperation mode," said Republican Party of New Mexico Chairman Steve Pearce. "By launching the first negative ad, Martin Heinrich is showing he is terrified by the momentum building behind Nella Domenici's campaign."

He continued: "Rather than focusing on the issues, Heinrich is resorting to false, petty, and personal attacks that underscore why so many are frustrated with the state of politics today. The bottom line is Heinrich can't run on his record of failures, so he's resorting to desperate, personal attacks."

Heinrich Ad Fact check: The Washington Examiner documented Martin Heinrich's deep Wall Street ties. Additionally, Heinrich was not born in New Mexico and he moved his family out of our state.Nella Domenici was born in New Mexico and only moved when her father was elected to serve as the U.S. Senator of our great state. She and her husband Pat have called New Mexico home for years.
