Exit and Entry Service Centers for Foreigners Newly Added in Four Districts with Beijing's Ports Hit Record Highs in Inbound and Outbound Traffic

With the arrival of summer holiday and the ongoing adjustments to exit and entry policies, Beijing's ports have seen a significant increase in passenger traffic. As of June 26, 2024, the number of inbound and outbound passengers through Beijing's ports has reached eight million, 2.9 times that of the same period last year.

In June, the average daily number of travelers through Beijing's ports was about 50,000. On June 23, the number of people entering and leaving the country exceeded 60,000, peaking at 62,000 in a single day. This set a new daily record for this year, reaching 85 percent of the average daily volume in 2019.

To further optimize Beijing's foreign-related business environment and facilitate visa and document applications for foreign nationals, the Exit-Entry Administration of Beijing Municipal Public Security Bureau has opened new service centers in Mentougou District, Fangshan District, Pinggu District, and Miyun District respectively from June 27.
