COSMOTE Scholarship Program for university students with financial and social difficulties: online applications open for the 2023-2024 academic year

- Thirty scholarships of €15,000 to €25,000 in support of first-year university students

The online applications for the 2023-2024 COSMOTE Scholarship Program are now open. Thirty scholarships of €15,000 to €25,000 will be awarded to first-year university students in Greece who are facing financial and social difficulties. In addition to socio-economic criteria, this year's Scholarship Program includes special terms for students whose families have been affected by the recent natural disasters in Greece. The COSMOTE Scholarship Program completes its 22nd year, is the longest-running social contribution action of COSMOTE, which has provided so far over €7.5 million to help 784 students complete their studies and pursue their dreams.

The Chairman and CEO of OTE Group, Mr Michael Tsamaz, stated the following on the program's launch: "For 22 years, the COSMOTE Scholarship Program has supported the studies of young people with vision and prospects. The path to knowledge, personal development and progress is full of challenges. Our scholars are a model of agility, strong will and positive life attitude. They are young people who see difficulties as opportunities and manage to achieve their goals. We are honoured to support them. By providing equal access to knowledge, we are creating a better world for all."

In the context of sustainable development and social contribution, the COSMOTE Scholarship Program includes 30 scholarships: 29 for specific schools at Greek universities and the "Zacharias Piperidis" scholarship for first-year students in the Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering departments of Greek technical universities, in memory of the distinguished OTE Group executive.

The scholarships for four-year university studies amount to €15,000,¹ while scholarships for five-year schools amount to €18.750.¹ The Zacharias Piperidis scholarship is amounting to €25,000. Additionally, COSMOTE offers to all scholars a laptop and a complete package of telecommunications services, including fixed line, mobile, internet throughout their studies, and year subscription of COSMOTE TV.
