Is summer fun stretching your budget a little thin? Opt for some free fun at Boston's ParkARTS Citywide Neighborhood Concerts. The series takes place through August and features all types of performances, from original songwriting to a Bon Jovi tribute band. These concerts are a fun opportunity to experience the different Boston neighborhoods while listening to some good music.
Kicking off the series in Dorchester is Bon Jovi cover band, Living on a Bad Name, which one booking website describes as the best Bon Jovi tribute band "without Jon and the boys themselves in person." The five-man band consists of guitar, percussion, bass, keyboards, and, of course, a kick-ass lead singer. Their passion and talent work together to provide an experience that will be hard to forget.
Other concerts star the funk/dance/jazz E-Water Band, which will play in Mattapan for National Night Out, an organization focused on increasing neighborhood safety, and Be Kind, Rewind, a '90s cover band, which will play in West Roxbury. New England Music Awards nominee Lexi James and Wildheart conclude the series on August 7 in South Boston with a country night.
All other concert acts can be found here.
