During their December 5 meeting, members of East Stroudsburg University's (ESU) Council of Trustees visited the on-campus Dale and Frances Hughes Foundation Community Health Education and Simulation Center. This cutting-edge facility, located in the DeNike Center for Human Services, opened in April 2023 and provides valuable hands-on training and inter-professional practice opportunities for students in ESU's College of Health Sciences, as well as local healthcare organizations. Nursing students, who frequently use the lab to prepare for real-world clinical experiences, were present to speak with the trustees. ESU's latest nursing program graduates attained a remarkable 100% first-time pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX-RN), surpassing both state and national averages.
