Support student scholarships Nov. 14 with a night out for Uncork Education

Take part in live and silent auctions and wine, beer, whiskey and spirit-free cocktail tastings, and play the exciting Blazer Plinko game.

Uncork Education provides guests a meaningful opportunity to support student scholarships, participate and make a lasting impact on the future of education. Since its debut, Uncork Education has allowed the UAB National Alumni Society to raise nearly $775,000 for scholarships.

This fall, the event will move downtown to The Florentine. Known as "Club Florentine" when it was built in 1926, the Florentine Ballroom boasts stunning vintage details and elegant charm.

Set for 5:30-7:30 p.m., Uncork Education will feature access to the live auction, silent auction, Blazer Plinko game, tastings and heavy hors d'oeuvres. Enjoy a wine tasting with Birmingham-based sommelier Andrea Early from Bon Vivant Noir Wine Experience, who will make wine approachable, accessible and fun. Not into wine or beer? Indulge in spirit-free cocktails from Trunk Tea. WBRC's Jeh Jeh Pruitt will be the event's live auctioneer. Capture the night of fun with a unique burst of photos in the 360° photo booth.

Tickets are $60. In-person registration is at 5:30 p.m., with the live auction at 7 p.m. Purchase tickets and register online.

Not able to make it to Birmingham? Those who prefer to participate from home still have the opportunity to bid virtually on silent auction items. The silent auction will begin online starting Friday, Nov. 8, and end when the event ends Nov. 14. Register for the virtual option online.
