What customers should do before the storm:
What to expect in the immediate aftermath of the storm: As soon as it is safe to do so, FPL will begin the restoration process while field crews complete a full damage assessment. During this time, customers should keep safety top of mind after Helene. Stay far away from downed power lines and if using a generator, make sure to follow the manufacturers' instructions. Finally, keep in mind, streets and neighborhoods are likely to experience downed trees, flooding and other damage that could delay restoration efforts.
