NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that a public hearing will be held by the Chemung County Legislature in the Legislative Chambers, 5th floor, Hazlett Building, 203 Lake Street, Elmira, New York at 6:55 p.m. on October 7,2024 for the purpose of HEARING ANY AND ALL COMMENT regarding a proposed five-year agreement with Hertz Corporation for the lease of space at the Elmira Corning Regional Airport during the period October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2029 with an option for one one-year extension. The terms of the lease to include payment of ten percent of gross receipts to be paid to the County of Chemung plus base fees that will be adjusted annually by 3% as follows:

Terminal building counter/office space - $10,395.42 per year
Utilities - $532.55 per month
Service Area - $20,898.92 per year
Rental car ready/return spaces at the rate of $50 per space per year
Employee parking spaces at the rate of $50 per space per year

This hearing will be held in the manner prescribed by General Municipal Law, and all parties in interest and citizens will be heard at that time by the Chemung County Legislature.

The terms of the lease to include payment of ten percent of gross receipts to be paid to the County of Chemung plus base fees that will be adjusted annually by 3% as follows:
