Multiple Suspects Arrested as Retail Theft Continues NR24282ne

Los Angeles: The Los Angeles Police Department's Hollenbeck Burglary Detectives announce the arrest of multiple shoplifting suspects during an operation to stop retail theft. Retail theft has plagued various shoe stores located in Hollenbeck Division as well as throughout the City of Los Angeles and surrounding cities. Retailers at this location are the constant targets of thefts which accumulate to the daily loss of thousands of dollars.

On October 15, 2024, a blitz operation was conducted at a shoe store located on the 3000 block of East 4th St. A blitz operation is when law enforcement strategically saturates an area with personnel and resources to address a specific issue. A total of (3) suspects were arrested for Organized Retail Theft.

The suspects arrested in this incident were 19-year-old Sitani, Haleni Booking No. 6901630, 21-year-old Williams, Tyjari Booking No. 6901677, and 21-year-old Atkins, Amya Booking No. 6901632. Under the Los Angeles County Felony Bail Schedule, several of the suspects were eligible for Book and Release, however, their cases were submitted for Magistrate Release due to being repeat offenders.
