The Deputy Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs Rustam Bakoyan met with the representatives-experts of the independent international organization Equal Rights Trust being in Armenia with an expert mission. At the core of the meeting were the issues regarding the law on Ensuring Legal equality and Protection from Discrimination and the attached draft laws.

The sides noted that the adoption of such law is necessary in terms of having legal guarantees against harassment and discrimination, as well as making it possible to legislatively regulate the directions of protecting persons from discrimination.

The goal of the expert mission is to work with those involved in revising process of the legislative initiative. The meeting took place on November 27.
