The SMPTE Sum Up 6 1 24

Welcome to the SMPTE Sum-Up, the weekly publication that details the recent and current events of your favorite standards development organization. This week at SMPTE:

SMPTE New England held their first in-person meeting after a long hiatus, and they were thrilled that their annual NAB Wrap-Up brought them back together! The event wasn't just about all the excitement of NAB. It was a time to reconnect with friends over dinner and drinks, and celebrate the connections made through this thrilling industry. It was truly a welcome return to form.

SMPTE Hollywood also hosted a special event this week, inviting at Barco to present their Light Steering Technology for HDR projection. Two sessions were held with a reception in between them, meaning those who had to come late or early could still enjoy all of the content. SMPTE Hollywood is big on HDR presentations, so don't worry if you had to miss this one. They're never done with high dynamic range!

SMPTE would like to welcome our new and returning corporate members, ATEME SA, Signiant, Monumental Sports, Applied Electronics Ltd., Nemal Electronics Intl. Inc., castLabs GmbH, Internet Initiative Japan Inc., and Intel Corporation!
