MOULTON, AL - Congressman Robert B. Aderholt (AL-04) announced today that federal funding in the amount of $219,000 has been secured to help address a flooding issue in Moulton, AL. Congressman Aderholt, working with the US Army Corps of Engineers, hopes that with federal funding being delivered, citizens in Moulton will finally receive relief from the drainage problem caused by congested creeks in the area.
"The people of Moulton have dealt with flooding caused by congested creeks for far too long. I am proud to announce that federal funding has been secured to begin the process of addressing this issue.
"It is my hope that, with assistance from the US Army Corps of Engineers, the flooding issue will be resolved, and we will no longer see situations such as the one in September of this year where a citizen of Moulton had to be rescued due to this flooding.
"I was glad to play a role in helping to secure this funding."
