Turner Construction Company has been selected to build Greenwich Central Middle School in Greenwich, Connecticut. The project, with an expected budget of $112 million, involves demolition of the existing building, constructed in 1958, and the construction of a state-of-the-art 135,000-square-foot facility designed to meet current needs and serve future generations of students. This project aims to exceed Connecticut's sustainability standards, incorporating energy-efficient systems, advanced electrical and plumbing technologies, and a rooftop photovoltaic system to generate on-site renewable energy.
"We are honored to partner with the Greenwich community on a project that will positively impact students for decades to come," said Chad McCullough, Vice President and General Manager of Turner Construction Company. "This facility reflects the Town's commitment to excellence in education and is a model for education facility building practices. We are excited to collaborate with the Town, our design partners, and the local community to bring this vision to life."
Construction is slated to begin in early 2025, with completion expected in 2026.
