Plan ahead for street closures for this weekend’s Farm to Fork Street Festival

The annual Farm-to-Fork Street Festival, hosted by Visit Sacramento, will take place this Friday (Sept. 21) and Saturday (Sept. 22) in downtown Sacramento.

The free two-day event on Capitol Mall features local food and drink vendors along with live music, food demonstrations, interactive booths and other attractions.

To accommodate the event, Capitol Mall will be closed between Third and Seventh streets starting Wednesday morning (Sept. 18).

Here are the specific closures:

  • Capitol Mall from Third to Fifth streets beginning Wednesday at 6 a.m.
  • Capitol Mall from Fifth to Seventh streets beginning Wednesday at 2 p.m.
  • Fifth Street from N to L streets beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Residents and visitors planning to attend are encouraged to plan ahead, take alternative transportation and watch for street closures.

The Street Festival runs 4 to 9 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. All streets are set to reopen to vehicles by 1 a.m. Sunday.

Free bike valet will be available Saturday. Attendees planning to drive and park can use the SacPark system to reserve spots in advance. Access to garages and parking lots will be maintained.

Sacramento's Farm-to-Fork celebration began on Sept. 5 and wraps up this weekend. For more information on the various musical acts coming to the Street Festival on Friday and Saturday, click here.
