Scalise Statement on Shooting at Trump Rally

JEFFERSON, La.- Today, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-La.) released the following statement after a shooting at a rally for President Trump in Pennsylvania:

"I am praying for President Trump and all of those hurt at today's rally. We owe our gratitude to the swift action of brave law enforcement heroes and first responders who acted quickly.

"For weeks Democrat leaders have been fueling ludicrous hysteria that Donald Trump winning re-election would be the end of democracy in America.

"Clearly we've seen far left lunatics act on violent rhetoric in the past. This incendiary rhetoric must stop."
