Traffic stop leads to drug arrest in the town of Massena

On June 26, 2024, the New York State Police- Violent Gangs and Narcotics Enforcement Team (VGNET) charged Emily F. Geer, age 22, of Gouverneur, NY, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th (C-Felony), Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th (A-Misdemeanor) and a traffic ticket for Uninspected Motor Vehicle. Additionally, VGNET charged Cole M. Fields, age 25, of Massena, New York, with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd (B-Felony), and 3 counts of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th.

These charges stem from an early morning traffic stop on June 26, by New York State Troopers in the town of Massena, during which a quantity of MDMA and MDA, both Scheduled 1, hallucinogenic substances, were seized, along with a quantity of heroin/fentanyl.

Geer and Fields were arrested and later arraigned in the Town of Massena Court and both were released with a future court date.
