President of the Republic Vahagn Khachaturyan received the delegation of the Friends of Armenia Network headed by former President of Lithuania Dalia Grybauskaitė.

Welcoming the guests, the President noted. "We attach great importance to the activities of Your group, and we also appreciate the support You provide us. In fact, already this year we can record certain successes in relations with the European Union, among which we can mention the April 5 meetings in Brussels in an unprecedented format of the EU, the USA and Armenia, and, of course, the ongoing meaningful discussions are important as well. I would like to thank You once again for visiting Armenia and participating in the "Yerevan Dialogue" International conference".

Dalia Grybauskaitė expressed gratitude for the welcome and noted that the Friends of Armenia Network will continue to support Armenia to the fullest.

During the meeting, issues related to the importance of launching the EU-Armenia dialogue with a view to liberalizing the visa regime were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on the opportunities of further expanding close EU-Armenia cooperation in political, economic, cultural and other spheres.

Over the course of the conversation, general regional realities and developments were discussed. In this context, the President of the Republic emphasized that Armenia's firm position is to achieve stable and lasting peace in the region.
