Las Vegas, NV - August 28, 2024 - Barnes & Noble is thrilled to announce the opening of its new Las Vegas bookstore on Wednesday, September 4^th. The new Barnes & Noble is located in the Town Square (6671 Las Vegas Blvd South, Las Vegas, NV 89119) in the space formerly occupied by Banana Republic, near Whole Foods, T.J. Maxx and Old Navy.

The new Barnes & Noble will officially open to the public at 10AM PT on Wednesday the 4^th, with bestselling author Katherine Applegate cutting the ribbon and signing copies of her book Willodeen. The bookstore will showcase the highly lauded bookstore design seen in the most recent Barnes & Noble store openings, featuring all the best books, toys, games and gifts that customers have come to expect from the nation's premier bookseller.

"It has been 16 years since we have opened a new Barnes & Noble in Las Vegas. Now this grand opening marks one of ten Barnes & Noble bookstores to open their doors in September alone," said James Daunt, CEO, Barnes & Noble. "It is so encouraging that our booksellers, with the mindset to cater to their friends, their neighbors, their readers, are creating such wonderful bookstores that draw from and give back to their communities."

Barnes & Noble is enjoying a period of tremendous growth as the strategy to hand control of each bookstore to its local booksellers has proven so successful. The bookseller is experiencing strong sales in its existing stores and has been opening many new stores after more than 15 years of declining store numbers. In 2023, Barnes & Noble opened more new bookstores in a single year than it had in the whole decade from 2009 to 2019. The bookseller expects to open over 50 new bookstores in 2024.

The Las Vegas location is one of 10 new Barnes & Noble bookstores set to open in September, alongside new locations in DE, TX, FL, NY, AZ, PA, and TN. Each grand opening has drawn enthusiastic crowds that wrap around the building, filling the store as the ribbon is cut.
